FISH FOR SALMON FROM A DRIFT BOAT
All tackle & equip provided with drift boat trip above. Need: Fishing license, food & drink, cooler if you keep fillets, ability to muscle in
20-30 lb. King Salmon while shaking and trembling! This is a great early season trip for all ages, especially kids! No waders needed but expect to get slimmed! THE SALMON ARE IN NOW!!!!
EXAMPLE GAME PLAN: Arrive after 3 pm, check in, fish the property if you like and then meet your drift boat guide for your "Sunset Salmon Fishing Trip" which departs at 6 pm sharp. Departure site is 3 road miles from us. Fish all night, have a blast catching KING Salmon and return to our lodge and get some sleep. Roll out of bed when you want and fish out back. Check out is before 10 am unless you stay additional nights. Bottom line: if you're on a budget, fish, fish, sleep, then fish more on your own for only $399 with 1 night stay and 1 guided salmon trip, Sunday thru Thursday.

QUICK LOCAL LOWDOWN REPORT
11:34 pm, just got in from a couple of hours of fishing for salmon and lost one and saw others porpoising around us. Many were marked but not in the mood to snap. We were fishing 13-20 FOW and the temp was 68-70 degrees. Salmon are in LMNOP hole, XYZ hole, ABC pool, and DEF run. It's here folks, 2010 Salmon Season! The nights are cool and our new Sweatshirts will be here Labor Day weekend. THERE ARE SALMON IN THE RIVER AND there will be more entering. Each day more salmon move closer to the mouth of the Salmon River and each day salmon move upstream into the Salmon River. Some salmon move upstream faster so what the DSR sees or says, may not be the case elsewhere. We understand everyone wants to know if it's "worth it" to make the trip to Pulaski, NY and it is! Come on up and do some salmon fishing and quit worrying about how many salmon are in the river. No one could possibly report on that! If you're waiting to hit the "BIG PUSH" or the "MOTHERLOAD", you just might miss out on some quality salmon fishing. Kids are going back to school Sept. 7 & 9th and it's dead in town during the weekdays until after 2:30 or 3:30 pm when the local kids get out of school. Come on up folks, it's happening and if you don't know how to catch a salmon, come on in our shop and we'll teach you how or show you what you need to buy to catch salmon!!! If you're buying your equipment or terminal tackle at other stores, you'll have to ask them where and how to catch salmon. Thanks for understanding our position. Riverfront Lodging in Downtown Pulaski NY
 Deeded riverfront property to the middle of the Salmon River in downtown Pulaski NY enables guests of Yankee Fly Wife Approved Lodge to roll out of bed and fish the world famous, "Town Pool" and catch HUGE King Salmon. Owner and Guide, Dawn A. Rucando with her Guide Team teach guests the ins and outs of salmon fishing. All the absolute prime salmon run fall action is at it's peak from Sept 15 to Oct 15 in the downtown Pulaski NY area. We're considered the lower end of the river out of the 3 sections (lower, middle, upper) and we're approximately 6 river miles from the mouth of the salmon river and 3 road miles to the Route 3 Bridge in Port Ontario, NY. Stay, Fish, and Learn from straight shooters. Get the "Local Lowdown" because the only thing we overlook is the Salmon River NY! Due to overwhelming calls, please take some time to look over our website as all of our pictures in our photo gallery are proof that we know what we're doing! Aug 15-Sept 15=less people and (sometimes) less fish historically speaking. Sept 15-Oct 15 MORE People and more fish. Rule of thumb: PICK YOUR DATES AND PRAY FOR THE BEST! If you want to experience a circus show, come on the weekends from Sept 17,18,24,25 Oct 1,2,8,9,10,15,16. After Oct. 17 it slows down people wise because they change over to hunting deer! The fishing on the Salmon River NY is excellent after Oct. 15 and throughout the months of Nov & Dec. We're the locals so ask us when we would come.
 Roll out of bed and fish the property. Monday thru Thursdays are the BEST days to fish as you can see......there's no one around and you can catch BIG SALMON in our backyard.

 Are you looking for lodging in Pulaski NY? We are right on the Salmon River NY and our property is deeded to the middle of the river which allows us to privatize our fishing rights/access. We have three 2-bedroom second floor seasonal apartments that are fully furnished and come with Dish TV, security enabled WiFi, a street level wader room that leads to river side deck, grill, and fishing, as well as a community lounge area to kick back and relax in while schmoozing with other guests. Our downtown lodging is Rainbow Vac Clean, "Wife Approved", smoke & pet free. Our riverfront lodging is for serious, mature anglers who want a clean/at home place to stay while getting a good nights rest.  Every year it never fails, there's KING salmon being caught in our backyard as early as August 15th. The word gets out fast and the official kick off to our Fall Salmon Run and what we're most famous for is Labor Day weekend (Sept. 3.4.5.& 6, 2010). This is when more salmon and brown trout start to enter and move upstream because Brookfield Power Co. releases their last 750 cfs. flow for the kayakers. This immediate change of river flow always brings fish from Lake Ontario through the estuary, past the Route 3 bridge in Port Ontario, up through the 4 mile stretch of the DSR (Douglaston Salmon Run), through the gauntlet of the "Staircase Run" and into the "Town Pool" (behind our place). So, expect to catch big salmon like this as early as August 15th thru September 6th just like these local kids did!

Today was 91 degrees and hot. Some anglers caught some fast moving salmon and one angler was seen killing a beautiful brown trout after he hooked it in the "other orifice" and kept it. The witness never said anything to the SNAGGER. CAN YOU HANDLE KING SALMON???? Come on up and give it a try. We have openings this weekend!
