The Best Steelhead Fishing In Upstate New York
 The world famous Salmon River is in Pulaski NY and is the number one attraction for anglers of all types. We have an awesome steelhead, salmon, and brown trout fishery thanks to our DEC. If you have a "Bucket List", you should consider putting Pulaski NY on it and give us a call so we can teach you all about it. Why our guide service? Simple, because time equals money and we know where the fish are with our years of experience in all weather conditions. We have a plan A, B, and C. We're Taking Reservations for SPRING Lodging!
 Are you looking for lodging in Pulaski NY? We are right on the Salmon River NY and have private fishing access in our backyard. Roll out of bed and fish the Salmon River. We are not a "motel room". We are "apartment-style" lodging. Meaning, we have kitchens, coffee pot with fixn's, dishes, toasters, pots-n-pans, alarm clocks, cable tv, security enabled WiFi internet, and VHS/DVD players. Our affordable lodging is CLEAN!!! The first thing people tell us when they enter their room is, "Geez, it sure smells nice." Our lodging is, "Wife Approved" and it's for anglers that want a clean and at home place to stay. Get a good nights rest at our place and put your wet waders on our boot dryers so when you wake up the next day you have nice warm waders to put on. Roll out of bed and be the first on the river and fish out back behind our shop at the "Town Pool", one of Salmon River's best fishing holes. Our posted private river front property is for our lodging guests and guided trip guests only. Our lodging is SMOKE & PET free. Last but not least, our family-friendly lodging facilities are in the same building as our fly & tackle shop. It's always great to get "inside" tips and tactics from us as we're guide owned and guide operated.
 A brand new restaurant called the "River House Restaurant" was built in the spring of 2007 and is open all year directly across the street from us. Walk to everything you need: bars, food, shopping, prime fishing holes, fish cleaning stations, etc. Everything you need, right in one spot and the best part is no DWI!!! We Fish ALL Methods.....the right way!
 We have experienced traditional fly fishing guides as well as spin, centerpin float, and spey fishing guides. Drift boat or Streamside fly fishing trips are available from our full time fishing guides. Patient NY Salmon River guides who love to teach children are available. If your child can sit still for 5 minutes, then they're ready to go fishing.
We've successfully guided kids as young as 5 years old.
We fish all methods and teach all types of people and ages.

| Fly Fishing The Salmon River: 3-8-10 |
 There are three varities of steelhead trout in the Salmon River right now and they are: 1. Fresh, incoming Salmon River NY Steelhead Trout, 2. Ready to spawn and have been in our Salmon River for a while now Salmon River NY Steelhead Trout, and 3. Heading back to Lake Ontario New York, already spawned out Salmon River NY Steelhead Trout. What does this mean to fly fishermen? It means that it's absolute peak spring steelhead season on the Salmon River in Pulaski New York and the time is now. We only have two ABSOLUTE PRIME months of spring steelhead fishing and they are the months of March & April. People ask us if the fishing will be "good" in two weeks from now and honestly, I have no idea! That's up to Mother Nature and we all know that conditions can change

This is a fresh (chrome) winter steelhead trout that was caught by our guide service on February 21, 2010. If you look closely you'll see that it's right pectoral fin is clipped. If you ask the local drift boat fishing guides they'll tell you that it's a "Hatchery Fish". So, I emailed Fran Verdoliva who is our Salmon River New York Coordinator for the Pulaski & Altmar area which is in Region 7 and he offered the following statement:
