Fly Fishing For Salmon Made Easy

Fly,Spin,Spey,CenterpinChris OgorzalekWATCH INTERVIEW AFTER THEIR TRIP
Chris Ogorzalek found himself in charge this year to make resvervations for a fishing trip for he and his college buddies, Greg & Drew.  They came from three states including, N.J., Mass., and Texas.  It was their annual fishing trip together and they wanted to try fly fishing for salmon this time.  What a time they had.  They hit it just right and were lucky to have been at the right place at the

right time.  Guide Mike #1 was their fly fishing guide who took them to the Douglaston Salmon Run (DSR) on Friday, September 29.  What a day it was.  There were fish everywhere.  It was unbelievable.  All S.R.V's, "Salmon River Virgins", they had triple hookups all day long.  Notice Greg in the backgroud with a hookup while Chris is showing of his Chinook Salmon.  It was hard to keep track who had what.  All three guys had a great time and found that fly fishing for salmon wasn't that hard at all.  Once they got the jist of it, it was simple.  Guide Mike was very patient with them and showed them exactly what they needed to do inorder to successfully land their salmon.  Catching them was not a problem at all since there were tails everywhere.  It takes some skill to walk in the river and manage to steer your fish where you want it to go.  Under the supervision of a patient and knowledgable guide, it was made easy.  Even though they had a great day they all agreed they had one complaint.  They were all too sore to move!  They were so tired and worn out from fly fishing that they just wanted to go and relax.  What a day and some memories for a lifetime of three college buddies that stay in touch year after year by taking a fishing trip!  Way to go guys!  I'm glad we were able to take your Salmon River Virginity!  Congratulations and hope to see you again next year.
