 | Lake Ontario New York Fishing Report: 7-16-07 |
 Just got off the phone with one of our Charter Captains and he was out this past weekend on Lake Ontario, New York. He said his customers caught many Chinook (King) Salmon in the 20 pound range and also a huge brown trout weighing 16 pounds. He said the fishing action has been excellent on Lake Ontario and he goes out of Port Ontario, New York which is at the mouth of the Salmon River only 3 miles from our fly & tackle shop. Last but not least, he said that he also fished on Oneida Lake this
weekend and his customers caught a ton of nice size walleye pike. It was great. Fishing couldn't be better! The biggest Chinook (King) Salmon so far is 28 pounds and 11 ounces caught out of Oswego, New York. Please check the leaderboard on a regular basis for current standings.
