 | Yankee Fly & Tackle: Shop Policy |
Need we say more? If you really want to learn how to fish for salmon and trout and be successful you have two options: 1. hire us as your guide service and take a day or two of guiding with us, OR 2. Come down to our shop and become a customer and by your outfit from us or whatever you may need. We have everything needed to use to catch salmon & trout within everyone's budget. If you call us for a report and we don't know you personally, you will
have to stop in our shop....we're open everyday at 4:30 am. Weather, water levels, fishing pressure, overall "conditions" change on a flip of a dime up here and it's always best to stop by first before you head to the stream. If you buy your outfit from another store, please don't expect us to spend our time with you when we could be helping others who want to buy from us and support us. IE: If you buy your fly or spin rod/reel outfit from Cabelas, Gander Mt., etc., prior to your trip to Pulaski, ask them to show you how to catch salmon or trout and also ask them where the fish are. We here at Yankee Fly & Tackle Shop are guide owned and guide operated. We will not give out detailed fishing reports over the internet and or over the phone to strangers. We will give out detailed fishing reports to our shop customers and our lodging guests and people that continue to support our business. The amount of information we give is based on what type of customer you are and how well we know you. We want you to get to know us and to become apart of our family. We want your support and we want it to be on the same playing level....not just one sided. We don't appreciate people coming in every year and in a rush to get a report and hit the stream without even buying a fly or bag of hooks from us because they say they're already prepared. It's just John, Dawn, and Mike....all Salmon River Guides and we stand by our reports which are solely based on you and your skill level. This is why we need to get to know you and cannot answer whether or not it's "worth it " to come and fish the Salmon River. It's always "worth it" and once you get to know us, you will understand that the only thing we overlook is the Salmon River and we pride ourselves in giving honest, no B.S. reports. We also pride ourselves in teaching people how to fish for salmon and trout and it pleases us very much to see an angler go from an all out snagger to a legitimate fisherman doing it the right way and maturing to that level. It's a wonderful feeling to teach somone something and to have them appreciate you and your time/effort. So, please stop in and see us and get to know us....you'll be glad you did. You can also believe that our prices are CHEAPER than Cabela's...............on many Salmon River items. Thanks for your support!
