 | Salmon River NY Fishing Report: 9-30-07 |
Not a bad weekend at all. I just uploaded about 30 pictures in my photo gallery. You'll have to look in there and scroll through the pages.....I just don't have time to post a story right now as it's 3:10 am and yet another night that I"m going going going. So, I hope you appreciate my reports and please stop in to see us and buy something from us to show your support. For those of you that are, THANK YOU!!! Without you we wouldn't be able to be here and provide you with a internet report or the best damn fly & tackle shop in Pulaski, NY. So, thanks for buying your flys and gear with us and not at a gas station. It just makes sense doesn't it? For
those of you seeing my "Vacancy" sign on when you're in town and wondering why that is when I tell you that I'm booked, it's because I'm helping other businesses out and if they have an opening, I leave my light on. So, I pretty much always leave the "Vacancy" light on unless there's absolutely nothing available. Another thing.....NEW this year......fishing behind Yankee Fly & Tackle is reserved for our lodging guests and shop customers. If you want to fish behind our shop, you must enter our front door to access the back. You must be a daily shop customer, not a once a year or 2 years ago customer. We'll be keeping an eye on things out back so you must have permission from us before you fish back there. Please tell everyone you know. We're trying to weed out people who don't support us and those that trash our property......oh, and if you think you're a sportsman when you throw your cigarette butts into the Salmon River, think again.......you're disgusting and ignorant.
Another thing, please do not call our shop to find out a report. NEW this year......you have to come in our shop to find out what's going on. You also have to buy something from us too. Information is glady give to shop customers, bottom line, period. The only way we'll give you a detailed report is if we know you personally by name and you're a very good customer of ours, not a 99 cent once a year estaz customer.....sorry folks, it's just not cutting it.
Our guide service continues to be 100% successful and our 5 lodging guests, the Long Group, all limited out today and were very happy with both of our guides......Guide Mike and Guide John....who did an outstanding job at showing everyone......who all had different skill levels and needs, how to catch salmon. A fair amount of salmon came into the Salmon River in Pulaski NY today and the lower end of the river is where it's at. The mouth of the Salmon River is still holding the "Motherload" and there's a lot of boats in Port Ontario fishing boat to boat. Our drift boat guides are still doing good on their night time salmon drift boat trips and believe it or not, our lake charter captain is doing excellent......his rate is $550 for up to 5 people and he's the man. If you want to book him give us a call 315-298-6253 now. I do have only a few dates open for river trips and only Oct. 2 for a DSR early access guide.
And yes, I'm 17 days smoke free and counting from cigarettes..........wish me luck and bring me bottles of Grand Marnier to get through it. Thanks.......and yes, I am serious!
P.S. Hotty Holly was in town this weekend.......she stopped by the shop but I was not here. I would love for her to call me as I have to speak with her. Thanks for all the nice emails about Hotty Holly......ya just never know what I'm going to post.......and that's what makes it FUN!!!
