Guided Salmon Trip: I want my money back!!!

GeneralJohn Alvarado, SteelheadAs I walked up to John's truck that was parked out in front of our tackle shop and lodge, he said to me, "Hey Dawn...I booked a salmon trip and I want my money back!!!"  I couldn't believe my ears and thought for one split second, "Shit, what the heck went wrong???"  John said to me again, "Yeah, I thought I was going for salmon and all I kept catching was steelhead!!!"  At that moment I

thought again and then I laughed and we both laughed together.  It was funny because he almost had me.  Meet John Alvarado from NJ, a real smart ass but a great guy and fisherman too.  He went with us last year on a guided trip and is now back again for more.  This is his second "salmon" trip of 2007 and while he did catch two salmon:  a Chinook (King) and a Coho, he was very happy with his guide.  John said later as he was walking through our shop to access the back deck and watch the ledge lizzards out back fish off the wall, "Hey Dawn, I have to drink my beer with my left hand because my right hand hurts so much from fishing today!".......now that's what I like to hear folks.........hurt arms, great fishing, steelhead, beer, etc, etc, etc.  Well, Grand Marnier, not beer for me.  You should know by now everyone that that's my favorite drink and thanks to John, he's the one who started the whole "Bring Dawn some Grand Marnier" thing.  Well, it's working because I"m still not smoking and the Grand Marnier takes the edge off.  Quit Date:  Sept. 13,2007.
So, another great day on the Salmon River with a shitload of fish, fun, laughs, memories made, and low water that everyone's talking about.  Guess it's not affecting the fish that are coming in on a daily basis.  CLICK HERE to see more of John's fish.  Hey Maurine, your hubby needs a good "smartass spanking".
