 | Peak Fall Foliage: Salmon River, Pulaski NY |
The fall foliage is at it's peak and it's absolutely gorgeous. This is my daughter, Miss. Isla, age 2 and a half. She and I took a break and decided to go down by the river and watch the fishermen and women. We enjoyed watching everyone hook up in front of us, except for this one guy named Rich from N.J. For the life of him, he just didn't hook up. Hmmmm? Guess it wasn't his weekend? Anyways, we
enjoyed all the beautiful colors, the smell of the leaves, and hearing the flow of the Salmon River. It was a nice break from the shop and the only thing that we would say that wasn't so great about our time by the river was seeing all the garbage and debris that the ignorant people leave behind. It truly made us sick. So, when we left, we picked up as much as we could and put it in the garbage can that was only four feet from the river's edge. If you're in Pulaski NY and you're fishing the Salmon River, please be sure to bring an extra plastic bag with you when you go fishing and take a moment to pick up some garbage. We know it's not yours, but it won't kill you to pick it up and good things will come your way for doing a good deed. Thank you. We want to have a fishable river for the future of our children, like my little Miss. Isla. Sincerely, Dawn Rucando, owner of Yankee Fly & Tackle Shop, Lodge & Guide Service.
