Yes, it's true. Another banner steelhead day on the Salmon River in Pulaski NY today. I managed to get out and do some fishing for a couple of hours. I was shooting some video with two of our full time Salmon River drift boat guides and I float fished with some of our Blue Goo egg sacks and missed 3 nice steelhead and finally landed one nice female in the 6-7 pound range. She was bright chrome and beautiful. The other steelhead were average size except for the one....it was much bigger. I
guess I'm rusty. It's hard to get out and go fishing when I'm running a guide service, a lodge, and a fly & tackle shop, not to mention a family! So, it was great and I do have some footage that soon I will put together. Tomorrow I'll try to make some time to get more pictures up for you. Just believe me when I say that the fishing is very good right now and the weather and water levels are perfect. It just can't get any better than this. Well, I'm sure it can. So, if you want to come up and fish for a few hours, it would be a good time. Please stop in our shop and pick up some tackle, flies, or bait and we'll send you in the right direction. Our guides did very well today and they were float fishing and centerpin fishing. Maybe I'll see you on the river tomorrow? Look for my black hat that says, "The Boss". Still not smoking since September 13, 2007 and down to one more bottle of Grand Marnier out of 5!!! No need to make a room reservation, just get your butt up here and fish.
