 | Salmon River NY : Lucky for Chucky |
Meet "Lucky Chucky" from central N.J. with a nice female Salmon River NY Steelhead trout he caught on November 17, 2007. It was a banner day for he and his best fishing buddy, Rocky. They had this one spot on the Salmon River NY in Pulaski all to themselves with absolutely no one around and the funny thing is, it's named after my husband, John Rucando. What is it called you ask?
You'll just have to come in our shop or hire our guide service to find out. We can't give out Lucky Chucky's spot on the world wide web. Some of you may know but most of you don't and it's not on any Salmon River NY Map. It's an area of the river that is not fished a lot. Don't get me wrong, it's fished but not by everyone and their brother. Lucky Chucky and Rocky said they hooked approximately 25 New York Steelhead and landed 15 between the both of them. They used a "LMNOP Fly" all day long and released all their NY Steelhead. Both have been coming to Pulaski NY for many years and stay mid river at Brenda's Motel. They love the Salmon River and they love to fly fish it. If you see Lucky Chucky and Rocky on the river, be sure to say "hello". They're great guys. Oh, and by the way guys, thanks for all the pictures and be sure to keep 'em coming. We want to see more of your catches from the Salmon River NY!!! Click here to see all of their steelhead trout and be sure to click on pages 14-19 in our photo gallery.
