 | Fishing & Catching Report: 12-8-07 Salmon River NY |
Meet Chris Green from CT with a nice colored up Salmon River NY winter Steelhead trout. Congratulations to you Chris, you are now an official "Pinhead". I'm glad you had a fun time with the drift boat guide I set you up with....he's a pisser and loves to joke around all day and besides, he knows his stuff. I also want to congratulate you again on becoming the "winner" of today's Yankee Fly Contest.....you can claim your prize in the fall of 2008! Now, back to the report:
this will be my last report until I get set up in the Keys. I'll be heading south tomorrow morning. I thank you for your patience and if you need to reach me, please call me on my cell phone at (315) 489-7532. Chris and his fishing buddy Tom Gendreau each landed a steelhead and missed several others while becoming familiar with the centerpin and float set up. They both caught their fish on the centerpin. All in all it was a fantastic day of fishing and catching and learning from their Salmon River NY Drift Boat Guide. You guys were great and we had lots of laughs. We thank you for your business and we will say this: you need more practice and guiding.....until you can leave the nest and fly on your own, so with this said, stay in touch and give us a shout for your next Salmon River NY adventure! END NOTE: When buying a centerpin outfit, ask the experts. If you buy cheap you end up buying it twice. A good/decent set up goes for at least $300 and nothing less. Don't be fooled by the cheap shit out there, FYI. Call to book your next trip!!!!! CLICK HERE to see Tom's "Smiles of Steel" face.
