  So this is what I do for a living...well at least "one" of the things I do and that's buying fishing gear and tackle at low prices from my dealer so I can sell it to you for a great price. It's called the "Retail" business and I hate it! Yeah, I hate it. It's a tough business to be in. It's a lot of competition with not only local competitors in the same town as I,
but really big competitors that you and I all know very well such as Cabela's, Gander Mountain, Walmart, Bass Pro, LL.Bean, Dick's Sporting Goods, etc. It's a huge business with big pieces of the pie and me being just a crumb. So, inorder for me not to get brushed off the table and onto the floor (as a crumb), I have to provide affordable and "great" prices not to mention something else that most others don't or won't or can't.......and guess what that is? Honesty. Yes, honesty. It's plain and simple and most retailers don't have the time and all they want to do is push product on you......heck, my dealers do it to me. So, my husband and I set ourselves apart from everyone else and give our customers what we call, "The Low Down". We'll tell you what's what on what. Do we carry product that we wouldn't use ourselves? Sure we do. Why is this? It's because of this saying, "A person convinced against their will is of the same opinion still" and what that means is that we get customers that come in and want something cheap and they don't want to listen to us when we tell them, "Hey....for a few bucks more you can get something that will hold up and do the job better". Nope, they want the cheap product.....and you know what? That's okay because of the saying above. We can't always convince someone even though we're trying to help them. They have it in their head to buy something that they believe will work for them. What I'm trying to say is this: please trust us in what we say and believe that we're not just trying to sell you something. While it is our business to sell you something, it's more important to us for you to believe and trust us and to come back again and again.........that's the part we LOVE and that's what makes it ALL WORTH IT! So, when you are considering a purchase for your salmon or steelhead trip to the Salmon River in Pulaski, New York, please wait and buy from us when you arrive. We are the experts and we're not just two people in the retail business.....we're two guides that love to fish and be involved in the fishing business.....we just hate the guess work when buying inventory for our retail business and when some people come in and ask for something we don't have because we can't possilby carry everything. If we don't have it, you don't need it.
We're looking forward to another exceptional salmon & steelhead season for 2008 and are booking lodging and guided trips. We can outfit just about anyone......yes we do have some children's waders and boots however it's best to call us before hand and make sure we have your childs' size. Also, we do have stout sizes for those portly men however we do not have giant sizes. Give us a call prior and we'll do our best to help you find what you need.
