  Yes, we do have Atlantic Salmon in Pulaski NY!!! If you are the type of angler that loves to fish alone with no one around you, the time to come is now....during our summer months. Visit us in Pulaski, NY and fish for Atlantic Salmon. They average 5-9 pounds and love to hit flies and streamers. If you are the type of angler that desires constant action and hundreds of salmon in a pool, do
not come now. The time to come for that run is in September through the first week of November. That is when our major King & Coho Salmon run is and when the fish come in, so do the people. So, less fish = less people = anglers that love the sport and appreciate that it's the quality, not the quantity. Our summer months are for campers, lake Ontario NY fishing charters, and people who want to explore and learn how to fish the Salmon River when there's no pressure. Make sure you have wading shoes with felt because our rocks are very slippery! If you don't, not to worry, we can outfit you with a pair for cheap or expensive. We carry all types of tackle and gear for all budget types. You can expect to catch some nice NY Skamania Steelhead and NY Atlantic Salmon on the fly along with some nice small mouth bass. You just need to know where to go. If you would like to hire a guide service, we can arrange that and we can also arrange lodging for you as well. Summer in Pulaski NY is a quiet secret that no one really wants you to know about because the ones fishing the Salmon River in the summer months like to keep the river all to themselves! There's plenty of river for everyone to fish and lots of public fishing areas. It's just when people ask, "Is it worth it?" I know when they ask me this they're the kind of person that has to stand on a rock and see a hundred fish in front of them for it to be "worth it" to them. If you have to ask me this, please do not come. If you don't have to ask me this question, then by all means, plan a trip to Pulaski NY and fish our world class fishery. Trust me....I'm in Alaska right now and what you get for your money here......honestly?.....it's overrated. Pulaski NY has the best salmon fishing on the Northeast and it's a third of the cost of going to Alaska!
End note: This picture was taken July 30, 2007 on the Salmon River not far from my fly & tackle shop. I forgot the person's name. If you are this person, please send me your name so I can give you credit for the picture. All I remember is that you were not sure what you had caught and you emailed me and I said it was an Atlantic Salmon. I also sent it to the Salmon River Fish Hatchery and had Fran Verdoliva verify it and he said it was a beautiful Atlantic Salmon. So, thank you for your picture...whoever you are!
