 | New York Steelhead Fishing: Beat the Winter Blues! |
  Fishing for New York Steelhead in the winter months can take away the winter blues and for those of you who suffer from "Cabin Fever", a.k.a. depression, this is a great sport to get into and do all year long. Winters in Pulaski, NY can be down right brutal and right now I should be in the Florida Keys however personal issues are preventing me from being there. So, I will continue to bring
you my stories and reports and get back in the saddle again. This angler from Canada is holding a beautiful 12 pound NY Steelhead that we call a "Breeder". While we would have liked to see this angler release her so she could spawn, it's his legal right to keep her for either eating or mounting. Remember folks, only one New York Steelhead is allowed by NYS DEC. This ensures great future fishing for these awesome fighting fish. What I can tell you about this picture is that the steelhead was caught in the lower river and she was caught with an egg sac. I can't tell you where, what color, or how. I'll leave those secrets for our full time drift boat guides to tell you and to explain to you. I will say this however, for those of you centerpin anglers out there.....you really make me pee my panties when I see you trying to fish the Salmon River with slush. I really think you SHOULD hire us for a guided trip because you have absolutely no idea what you're doing and I can't bear to watch it anymore. Please, please, call us!
