still go out and find fish to put you on! With the Salmon River running at over 3,000 cfs down by my lodge & tackle shop, it's unsafe for bank anglers and drift boat guides who don't have a clue. By the way, this is typical this time of year for the Salmon River to be running high. You have to factor in 1. snow melt, 2. rain showers 3. predicted flow/release AND 4.actual flow/with runoff. You really need to know the Salmon River and it's sections: 1. lower 2. middle 3. upper. If the Salmon River is raging, 9 out of 10, so are the tributaries....however, there are still "some" places to fish but only an experienced guide service can show you where. Those my friends, are the "secret holes".
End Note: Our experienced drift boat guide service spends time teaching our clients how to cast and catch fish while other services spend most of the time driving you around in their truck and putting their drift boat in more than once. We believe in launching once and putting you on the fish. Afterall, that's what you're here for......to fish right? Not to drive around in a truck.
