Salmon River Level & Conditions: 4-6-09

Fly,Spin,Spey,CenterpinPicture taken 4-5-09 Showing High River Level at the The Salmon River in Pulaski New York is running high right now and down by me in the lower section of the river at the "Town Pool", it's at least 6,000 cfs.  The river is touching the base of my steps leading down from my deck and it's all the way up to the cement wall of the VFW next door to me.  It's really not safe for bank anglers and this part of the river is

very muddy with a lot of debris.  Keep an eye on the weather forecast and be patient.  It will go down.  Things change on a flip of a dime here in Pulaski New York and it can be great one minute and bad the next.  Please call beforehand and check with your guide or lodging facility to see what their opinion is regarding your scheduled trip.  Our scheduled trip for this Friday is still "on" and we are taking reservations for this Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.  We have experienced drift boat guides who know where to find the fish!

We can't control Mother Nature and it's typical this time of year for high water.
