Winter fishing on the Salmon River in Pulaski NY allows anglers to support local guides by taking a drift boat trip so they can access the best spots without having to hike long distances through snow up to their jingle balls. It's that time of year where all the hardcore anglers come out of the woodwork to test their patience and to become one
with nature. Maybe it's that time of year where they can get out of the house and away from the wife and kids? After Christmas you'll see the parking lots full of drift boat trailers and today was one of those days. There were at least 12 drift boats out on the Salmon River and it sure was a day of beauty with the trees covered in white! Our guide service had a difficult day with ten hook ups and only three NY Steelhead were landed. Finger tips were in pain today and all in all, it was a "good" day on the Salmon River NY!
