St. James Church is one of my favorite places to go because of the people who attend. I never get that snobby righteous judgmental feel. I've been in many churches all over the county, state, and yes, even out of the country! St. James said to me once at coffee/dessert hour, hey Dawn, you can even come in your pajammas...so I did! When I entered the big red doors the feeling of calm and peace came over me and the place never set on fire...can you imagine? Ha!

Every 2nd Saturday of the month they put on a dinner from 5 pm until it's all gone. Here's the low down:

When: Saturday January 9, 2010
Where: 25 Lake Street, Pulaski NY 13142 which is on the same road to the Douglaston Salmon Run (DSR) and walking distance from the "Town Pool" which is right behind me and one of the best fishing holes on the Salmon River NY! It's right next to the Pulaski Fire Department...you can't miss it! Look for the RED doors.
What: CHICKEN PARMESAN DINNER
How Much: $7.50 adults and $5.00 seniors and Kids.....well they're both right? (kidding)
More Details: The desserts are homemade and honestly, the cost of the dinner is worth the desserts! They're awesome and everyone typically chips in and brings something to offer. It's great and if you haven't been to St. James Church for one of their dinners, you're definitely MISSING OUT!

All dinners are donated by: Ed & Paula Ward of "Eddy's Place Restaurant" which is located on Rt. 13 in
Pulaski NY (315) 298-7538. Ed was the former chef of The Log Cabin Inn back in the day. He's still around and he and his wife work very hard to provide a delicious meal.

HELP SUPPORT ST.James Church because it's the kind of place that deserves it and honestly welcomes ANYONE, even snaggers! Did I just say that? Well, it's true and you know who you are.

Come on over and pull up a chair and talk fishing with me at St. James Church........you may even find out where one of my secret fishing spots are......that's if you help wash the dishes with me!
