 | A detailed woman knows....... |
Hi Dawn. Just a quick note to say thank you. We had a great time and I am glad that you talked us into taking a guide. As all rivers are different, one could spend many days learning the proper presentation and finding the good spots resulting in frustration and failure. The drift boat and guide was the best way to go with the high water conditions. We had a pleasant time with your guide. He was
able to bring us into areas where there were no other fishermen, (that's tough as there were large numbers of fishermen this weekend). Our stay overnight was great in your clean and roomy apartments. See you soon Martin Lacasse Ottawa (March 20, 2010 drift boat trip/Salmon River NY) Martin- I'm glad you chose to trust my judgement and you and Rheo had a great time. I try to express this to people who call me however many think I'm just trying to take their money. They must have had a bad experience before or something. The truth is that I care about peoples' trips and want them to come back. With my guide service, I want our guides to mold people into great anglers. It's not just about catching fish, it's about the entire experience with our guide service and we like to tell it like it is and have a fun time doing and showing. There are so many variables to consider: water level, temperature (water & air), sunshine or overcast, which fly to use, which color, which pattern, what type of bait, color, size, etc, where to fish: lower, middle, upper river? You see? It's a lot to consider if you've never fished before or if you've never fished the Salmon River before. Most people travel an average of 4 hours just to get here and to find out that the river is too high or too muddy or too crowded, well, that stinks. My guides can increase our customers success rate by 75% and with those odds, heck, I'd take a chance on the guide. Keep in mind, not "all" guides have the experience and knowledge. There are many "so-called & wanna-be guides" out there and you can be sure, they don't do trips for me. I'm picky when it comes to a "all around great guide with experience". Thanks for trusting me Martin and I look forward to see you again soon. The Salmon River's conditions change all the time.....every second, minute, and hour. While the Salmon River is one for your "BUCKET LIST", trust me to put you with the guide that's going to help you check it off your list (not once, but again and again and again)! Dawn A.
