Summer Skamania Steelhead: Salmon River NY

Salmon River NY ReportsSummer Skamania Steelhead Salmon River NY caught on a spinner bait! This is the world famous "Town Pool" and we own to the middle of it.  Our lodging and guiding guests can roll out of bed and fish in one of the best deep water, highly oxygenated pools on the Salmon River in downtown Pulaski NY.  This gorgeous summer Skamania Steelhead is

what you can expect to catch during the months of June, July, Aug, and September.  Along with these types of warm water Pulaski New York Steelhead Trout are Atlantic Salmon that average 5-10 pounds.  Take a look inside my fly & tackle shop and see the 24 pound male Skamania Steelhead that was caught with an egg sack during the month of August.  It's a bruiser and one that had to go on my wall!  The limit is one per person by New York State DEC law and regulations.  You can fish with spinners or flies for these awesome fish and if you want our guide service to teach you how to find them and show you the river, please give us a call.  We're here in Pulaski New York all summer long.  (315) 298-2466 shop/lodge.  Our retail store does not maintain regular hours during the summer months however if there's anything you need, feel free to call or come a knocking....I live directly next door in the same building.  Size Matters, Dawn Rucando, Guide #3461

Simply said, Pulaski NY is MOST FAMOUS for our Fall Salmon Run and our Spring Steelhead Run.  Our fishery is all year long and it’s always “Worth It” to come fish the Salmon River NY.
A good rule of thumb: Amateur Anglers or Thrill Seekers want lots of fish which = lots of people. All weekends from Labor Day to Columbus Day are the busiest. Sept. 3-Oct. 11, 2010. Holidays such as Veteran’s Day Nov. 11, 2010 and Thanksgiving Nov. 25, 2010
Spring time from April 1-May 1, 2011 with Good Friday April 22, 2011 &  Easter April 24, 2011.

Intermediate & Experienced Anglers tend to want less people & aggravation.
We recommend: All weekdays period and to stay away from the weekends and holidays! Anytime of year is fine because these anglers are happy with whatever they catch just as long as they’re not being encroached on while fishing.

Note: Get the "Local Lowdown" from straight shooters because we give a sh*t!
