 | BIG BROWNS, Early September |
The locals and the anglers who have been there done that will tell you that the biggest brown trout are caught in early September on the Salmon River in Pulaski New York. Big to most people is 5 pounds and those are "babies" to us. We call them "Double Digit Browns" and that means
that they're all over 10 pounds and up to 20. Seriously folks....I caught a 13 pound Salmon River NY Brown Trout on September 9. These high adventure river trips start early morning and go to about 11 am. Our rates are $400 based on 2 people during the weekday, Monday through Friday. If we fish private sections of the Salmon River NY, the customer pays that access fee. The Douglaston Salmon Run (DSR) charges $45 per angler and if you're 15, you're free if you're with our guide service or an adult. Every wanted to catch a monster brown trout on a fly or while spin fishing? Let us show you how. This is just one of many pictures I dug up to show you that the BIG Browns are caught in early September. Call (315) 298-2466 to book your Salmon River NY adventure. NOTE: One must be able to hike and walk.......no.......RUN......on slimy river rocks while yelling "Fish On!!!" Waders are a must along with a fishing license, and polarized fishing glasses.
Here's what I'm talking about folks!
