 | The Salmon are Running and they're BIG |
As predicted, they're BIG and they're early. Yes, it's true folks, the Chinook (King) Salmon are running in Pulaski New York as I type this story. Fall is here and the weather is cool and the trees are turning. Everything is
early this year and for those of you who want to get in on the action, the time is now. I'm reading the reports on the internet and it's funny to me because some are true and most are b.s. I can tell you this: The Salmon are fresh and they're coming into the Salmon River in decent numbers. How many? Who knows. Nobody can count them and they run at night too when no one is watching. Everyone always wants to hit the run just right and wants to experience the "Motherload" as us locals call it. However, in order to experience that, you have to be here and it's the luck of the draw. Perfect conditions: West winds, cool temperatures, full moon, rain, etc. It's really up to Mother Nature and luck. So, for those of you waiting and anticipating the excitement of battling a King Salmon with 10-15 pound test line and chasing it up or down the Salmon River NY, it's happening now. First person who brings me a King Salmon gets $20 cash! Come find me at Yankee Fly. As for the internet reports, well, you have to consider the source. For those who said they didn't see any fish on Monday 8-23-10 would of had to be 1. blind or 2. completely inexperienced. I'm going with the second. If you want honest no b.s. information and current reports, you'll have to get it in our shop. All information is gladly given to our shop customers and the more you spend, the more we give! Please understand this: We do not give reports over the phone. Our phone is for bookings and reservations only. If you want FREE information, please call the Salmon River Sports Shop (315) 298-4343 which is home to the "Original Salmon River Hotline", or visit their shop.
