hi dawn. his name is paul and he caught the steelhead Sunday afternoon. we weighed the fish at the shop and it was 20 pounds after being out of the water for awhile so it was probably a few pounds more when he caught it. what a pretty buck, the head on it is amazing. We talked him into mounting it. - harry
Other sources said that

Paul caught the beast in the Pineville area which would be mid Salmon River NY.  I do not have any details on what was used as bait, the method of angling, the exact spot, the last name of the guy, or where he's from.  I think it's best to just leave all that out anyways and just let you drool over the size of this winter NY steelhead.  It sure will make an awesome mount and will be the topic of many conversations for Paul.  I also heard that Dave Fish will have the honors of mounting this trophy.  What a great trophy!
