This is the map that every angler should have especially if they're new to the Pulaski and Altmar New York area. This aerial map was first made about 14 years ago and local businesses advertised along the edges. Now the

distributors of the map have revised it (October 2010) and while the river is still pretty much the same, all the advertisements are new and updated. The Salmon River NY aerial map became available in November of 2010 and you will find guides, motels, lodges, restaurants, tackle shops, and campgrounds. The map has the three sections of the Salmon River NY: 1. the lower, 2. the middle and 3. the upper section, including the Lower Fly Fishing Only and Upper Fly Fishing Only sections. The Salmon River NY Fish Hatchery is clearly marked too. You can't get any better than an aerial view and when you purchase a map in our shop we'll circle a few spots for you! The map shows the location of the Douglaston Salmon Run, aka DSR, which is a private 3-4 mile paid access stretch and part of Lake Ontario where the estuary (or "mouth of the Salmon River NY")is, and the famous Lighthouse Marina. You can easily see all the bridges from the Route 3 bridge in Port Ontario NY (aka lower section), to the Route 81 Bridge Hole (mid river), to the County Route 2A Bridge (mid river), to the Pineville Bridge (upper section and currently this bridge is out and there is a detour), to the Altmar Bridge (upper section) where above that bridge are two sections of fly fishing only. All the public access spots are clearly marked. It's a great map to have and in my opinion, the "Mother of ALL Maps" for the Salmon River NY. You can print free maps off the internet but they don't give you such detail like this aerial map does. It's the only one around of it's kind.
In the shop, $4.99 with some guide advice or by mail to you for $9.99 with some advice as well so you can prepare before you arrive. It's up to you. Each shop has their own "version" of the Salmon River NY and I'm telling you straight, this IS the "Mother of ALL Maps"........see for yourself!

When the fish move, you'll need to know where to find them!

This is a beautiful little brown trout and I say "little" because our "average" brown trout are 8-10 pounds. Personally I"ve C&R 13 pound brown trout and am in the search for a 20 pounder. We call these "Double Digit Brown Trout". They're one of the prettiest fish on the Salmon River and very sought after. People travel hundreds and even thousands of miles to fish the world famous Salmon River in Pulaski New York for BIG brown trout. Come learn how or at least buy a map and we'll point you in the best direction.
