  I'll take the one in the middle! This is a close up of what you can expect to catch in the Salmon River NY during the month of April. While there are many reports and opinions floating around on the www, we are telling you that the time is now to fish
for Spring Steelhead, Browns, and Rainbows. You have the remainder of April and possilby the first two weeks in May to catch these magnificant fish before they return to Lake Ontario and we roll into our MONSTER Walleye season. Keep in mind, it all depends on Mother Nature. Travelers who want perfect fishing conditions may miss out because sometimes sunshine and warm breezes don't make ideal "catching" conditions. Combine that with 30-40 drift boats on the Salmon River on a Saturday and you have scared and scattered fish dodging lures, lines, flies, bait, people, drift boats, anchors, etc. It's like a recap of PRIME Salmon Season and it can be stressful. The good news is this: we're located on one of the BEST SPRING fishing holes on the Salmon River NY and we don't have rude crowds. We have private property with the wall across from us out of commission which is awesome! We also have a LIVE web cam that shows what the current river level is and weather conditions.
